Parents aren't perfect - and the parents of Danny Bell are quite a lot less perfect than most. Like a lot of stories the idea for this one started with a simple 'What if?' idea. What if there was an agency that helped children to find brand new parents? I think my favourite character in this story is Danny's hopeless former rock star of a dad.
