Henry and the Frights

Illustrated by Adriano Gon

Going to bed was a problem for Henry. As soon as the lights went out, he would start thinking of all the things that scared him. Until one night, the Frights arrive - and make Henry a hero in his own bedtime.

I like this story but I do sometimes wonder whether it was terribly suitable as a bedtime story for young children. I think it was influenced by Maurice Sendak's great book WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE.
